Okay, so I wanted to make a “rory meme” today. I’ve seen these floating around, and they always crack me up. I figured, why not try to make my own? It seemed easy enough, just find a good picture and put a funny text with it, Right?
First, I scoured the internet for some good Rory pictures. I needed something that captured that classic, slightly confused, slightly exasperated Rory look. You know, the one he gets. I spent a good half hour just browsing through images, saving a bunch that I thought might work.
Picking the Right Photo
- I needed the expression to be just right.
- The background had to be kind of neutral.
- good picture quality.
After I had a folder full of potential Rory faces, I started brainstorming some text. I wanted something that would relatable with rory’s situation, you know, the vibe of the meme. I jotted down a few ideas on a piece of paper, trying to channel my inner meme lord.
I opened up my trusty image, and started playing around.I added the text, trying out a few different fonts and placements. It took a little bit of fiddling to get it to look right. Some of the pictures just didn’t work with the text I had in mind, so I switched things up a few times.
Finally, I settled on a picture that really use. The expression was perfect, the background was nice, and the text just clicked. I added some simple white box behind text, to make the text stand out.
And it done!
It took me a while, maybe an hour in total, but I think it turned out pretty well! Honestly, the hardest part was just finding the right picture. The rest was simple. Now I have a Rory meme , and maybe get a few laughs. Mission accomplished!
