New at Capital One Park? (know Before You Go in 2024)

Okay, so yesterday I decided to check out Capital One Park, the new-ish ballpark in Tysons, Virginia. I’d heard some buzz about it, and being a big baseball fan, I figured, why not?

First thing I did was hop online to snag some tickets. The process was pretty straightforward, nothing fancy. I just picked my seats, paid, and boom, tickets in my inbox. Got to admit, I was a bit surprised at how cheap they were. Pretty good deal.

Getting There

Next up, figuring out how to get there. I’m not a huge fan of driving in that area, so I checked out the public transportation options. It looked like the Metro was the way to go. I jumped on the Silver Line, and after a bit of a ride, I got off at the Tysons Corner station.

Now, from the station, it’s supposed to be a short walk, so I got directions from Metro. I started walking, it was a little further than I expected, maybe 10-15 minutes, but it was a nice day, so I didn’t really mind.

The Park Itself

When I finally got there, the park looked pretty cool. It’s not massive like some of the major league stadiums, but it has a nice, modern feel. I walked around a bit, checking out the different concession stands.

The food options were pretty awesome! They had your classic ballpark fare, like hot dogs and popcorn, but also some local stuff, like craft beers and some gourmet-ish food trucks. I grabbed a burger and a beer, and they were both surprisingly good.

  • Good selection of food and drink.
  • Affordable Prices.
  • Easy to Access.

Game Time!

The game itself was fun. The crowd was into it, even though it wasn’t a huge game. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. A great place to chill.

After the game, getting back to the Metro was easy, just the same walk in reverse. All in all, it was a solid day out. If you’re looking for a chill way to spend an afternoon or evening, and you’re into baseball, Capital One Park is definitely worth checking out. I’ll probably be back.
