So, I stumbled upon this old model, the F1 Jordan 194, and I just had to try building it. I’m not a pro or anything, just a guy who likes putting things together.

Getting Started
First, I dug around for information. I mean, this car’s from way back, so finding good references wasn’t a walk in the park. I spent a good chunk of time just looking at pictures online, trying to get a feel for the shape and all the little details.
The Build
Then came the actual building part. I started with the chassis, you know, the main body. It was pretty straightforward, just following the instructions and making sure everything lined up.
- Laid out all the parts.
- Fitted the chassis pieces together.
- Checked and double checked it’s symmetry.
Next, I moved on to the suspension. This was a bit trickier, with all the tiny arms and springs. I took my time here, making sure everything was properly connected and could move freely.
The engine was probably the most challenging part. So many small parts, it was like a puzzle within a puzzle! I spent hours on this, carefully assembling all the bits and pieces. But hey and finally I did it!
Finishing Touches
After the engine, it was time for the bodywork. I carefully attached the panels, making sure the seams were nice and smooth. And then it hit me that I wanted to make a cool looking of it.

Finally, I added the decals. This was the fun part! Putting on all the sponsor logos and the racing numbers really brought the model to life.
It wasn’t a quick project, I totally messed up a few times and had to redo some parts. But seeing the finished model, sitting there on my shelf, it was worth it.
It’s not perfect, but I built it, and that’s what matters.
