Alright, guys, let’s dive into my “Start Em, Sit Em” journey for Week 17. It was a wild ride, and I’m here to spill all the beans.

The Prep Work
First things first, I scoured the injury reports. I mean, really scoured them. I spent hours on different websites, checking every single player update. This is where the magic starts, knowing who’s in, who’s out, and who’s a game-time decision.
Then, I hit the matchup charts. I needed to see which defenses were generous and which were stingy. This involved a lot of comparing and contrasting, and I made a few notes to help me visualize the data.
Making the Tough Calls
- Started: I went with this running back, cause it was a great chance he will be a major player in this match. He totally delivered! Touchdowns galore.
- Sitted: This wide receiver, even though he’s usually a stud. The matchup was terrible, and I just had a bad feeling. Turns out I was right – he barely got any points.
- Started: This quarterback that every expert told me not to. He looked decent to be honest, he played his best this time. I just had a hunch, and it paid off big time. He threw for over 300 yards and a couple of scores.
- Sitted: I had a player who was dealing with a minor injury that many people thought he would play well . I decided to bench him, and it was a nail-biter. Luckily, his replacement did just enough to make me feel okay about the decision.
The Results
I ended up crushing it this week! My bold calls paid off, and even the safer plays did what they were supposed to. It was one of those weeks where everything just clicked.
It felt great to see my research and intuition pay off. It’s not always perfect, but when it is, it’s incredibly satisfying.
So, that’s my Week 17 “Start Em, Sit Em” story. Hope you guys picked up a few tips or at least enjoyed the ride along with me. It’s all about doing your homework, trusting your gut, and sometimes, just getting lucky!
