Diablo 3 Classes: Whats the Easiest Class to Play? (Find Out Here!)

Okay, so I got into Diablo 3 again recently, and man, figuring out which class to roll with was a whole thing. I started off by checking out the Crusader and Barbarian since some folks online said they’re good for beginners. They weren’t kidding! Both have a ton of health and some neat defensive skills, so I was able to survive my early screw-ups.

But I wanted to try out other classes too. I heard good things about the Monk‘s Wave of Light build and the Wizard‘s Firebird build being easy to pick up, so I gave those a shot. They’re definitely straightforward, but they didn’t quite click with me the way the Barbarian did.

Then I messed around with a couple of different Barbarian builds, the Hammer of the Ancients and Whirlwind. Both are fun, but Whirlwind just felt right. It’s fast, it’s strong, and it’s super satisfying to just spin through hordes of enemies.

  • Tried Crusader and Barbarian – both are good starting points.
  • Experimented with Monk (Wave of Light) and Wizard (Firebird) – easy but not my style.
  • Settled on Barbarian (Whirlwind) – fast, strong, and fun!

I also dabbled with the Demon Hunter, and the Multishot Unhallowed Essence build is a beast. It can do all the main stuff—Rifts, Bounties, you name it.

I mostly play Barbarian and sometimes Crusader, I find the sweep attack build for Crusader pretty simple and easy to get the hang of, but honestly, just spinning around with my Barbarian is where it’s at for me.

My takeaway from all this experimenting?

Most classes are pretty similar in terms of how hard they are to learn and gear up. Some folks say the Inna set for the Monk is easy to get and starts strong, but the higher-level stuff can be tricky. And don’t sleep on those seasonal gifts! The sets I got from those really helped boost my characters.

Ultimately, it comes down to what you enjoy playing. Don’t be afraid to try out different classes and builds until you find what works for you. That’s what I did, and now I’m having a blast just whirlwinding my way through Sanctuary!
