Haskell 2024 Updates: Find Out What Changed in This Version

Alright, let’s talk about this whole “Haskell 2024” thing. I wanted to see what the latest updates were and give them a whirl. So, I started by checking if my system was even on the current version. Turns out, you gotta install the update before launching, so I made sure to do that first.

After getting the update, I dove into the release notes. Man, there were a bunch of new features and enhancements. They called it “MicroStation 2024” or something. One thing that caught my eye was the ability to update selected cells and their instances. That sounded pretty neat, so I decided to mess around with it.

I also heard about something called “Kali Linux 2024.4” and how important it is to upgrade. I figured I’d give that a shot too, just to see what’s new. They say there’s a phased approach to rolling out features, so I guess I’ll get “Windows 11” at some point. They also mentioned some defense-in-depth updates and security changes for Windows Server. Sounds like they’re really beefing up security, which is always good.

Then there were these random things that seemed totally unrelated. Something about a digital map compass, a fish hitting the surface while dead, and a sawblade hook broom glitch. I guess those are issues they fixed? Oh, and something about a “KerfurOs drip”? No idea what that is. There was also a mention of “Voices of the Void” and a single file. Maybe a game or something?

And get this, apparently there’s a “Windows 11 2024 Update” coming, also known as “24H2”. It’s supposed to have a redesigned Copilot experience, but I don’t even have a Copilot+ PC. I guess these enhancements are for us regular folks too. Good to know.

Lastly, I stumbled upon some changes in “Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management version 10.0.42”. It has a build number of “10.0.2095”. I don’t use that software, but I figured I’d mention it anyway, just in case someone out there does.

So, yeah, that’s my experience with this whole “Haskell 2024” update. I poked around, installed some stuff, read some release notes, and found a bunch of random tidbits. It was a bit of a mixed bag, but hey, that’s how it goes sometimes. Hopefully, this was somewhat useful to someone out there.

  • Started by checking the current version and installing updates.
  • Explored new features in MicroStation 2024.
  • Looked into Kali Linux 2024.4 and its importance.
  • Read about security updates for Windows Server.
  • Noticed random bug fixes and a mention of “KerfurOs drip”.
  • Learned about the upcoming Windows 11 2024 Update (24H2).
  • Found information about changes in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management.

It was kind of all over the place, but I guess that’s the nature of software updates these days. You gotta sift through a lot of stuff to find the gems. Anyways, I’m gonna keep playing around with these updates and see what else I can dig up. Maybe I’ll write another post if I find anything interesting.
