It all started with a post, a post about a rock band called Skids and a fashion designer named Valentino. I was looking for something new to get into, and these two seemed like a weird but cool combo, so I went for it.

First, I tried to figure out who the heck these Skids guys were. It looked like they were some kind of punk rock band from Scotland. The post said something about a new album in 2023, called “Destination Dusseldorf.” Sounds interesting, I guess. I found a bunch of their old stuff, like “Sweet Suburbia” and “Into the Valley.” They have some old-school vibes, it’s not bad at all. I kinda dug the sound, raw and energetic, you know?
Then there’s this Valentino dude. Turns out, he’s a big-shot fashion designer. The post mentioned something about “Valentino red.” I imagined fancy dresses and stuff, totally different from the Skids’ punk rock scene. The name “Valentino Bags” popped up, I saw some history of this brand, seems it was founded by a guy named Vincenzo in the 1950s. Later his son, Mario, took over, so the brand is also called Mario Valentino. Pretty confusing!
But then things got a bit messy. The post said Valentino uses some kind of material called “Polyurethane” to make their bags cheaper, and that most of their bags are “faux leather.” I always thought Valentino was all about luxury and expensive stuff. It is a little bit disappointing, but I guess even the high-end brands gotta make money somehow, right?
- Went down the rabbit hole of Skids’ music.
- Tried to understand Valentino’s fashion world.
- Got confused about the whole Valentino Bags thing.
- Realized even fancy brands use cheaper materials sometimes.
So, after all that, I’m still not sure what the connection between Skids and Valentino is. Maybe it’s just a random combination of things that the internet threw at me. But hey, I discovered some cool music and learned a bit about the fashion world. It’s a win, I think. It was like the post said, “Is cool even cool anymore?” It got me thinking, that’s for sure.
