Okay, so let’s talk about this whole MLS Apple deal thing. I’m a huge soccer fan, and when I heard about this, I was like, “What the heck is going on?” I did a little digging to figure out how to actually watch these games.
First, I grabbed my phone and opened up the Apple TV app. You can also just go to the website on your computer if that’s your thing. Once I was in, I looked for something that said “MLS Season Pass” and tapped on that.
Then it was time to find the game I wanted to watch. They have replays available, which is pretty cool. I scrolled through the list, found the one I was looking for, and clicked on it. There was this option that said “Watch Replays,” and under that, I chose “Full Replay.”
Now, here’s the kicker – you gotta pay for this MLS Season Pass thing. It’s not free, sadly. It is about 15 bucks a month, or if you’re like me and you know you’re gonna watch all season, you can just pay 99 bucks for the whole year. They do let you watch like six games for free each week though, which is something, I guess. I just signed up for the whole thing because, you know, I don’t wanna miss any action.
Things I noticed:
- You don’t need to pay for Apple TV+ to watch MLS games. These are two different things. I was confused about that at first.
- You can watch this stuff on a bunch of different devices – your phone, your computer, smart TVs, even gaming consoles. That is kind of convenient.
- This whole deal started on February 21st this year, 2024, so it’s still pretty new.
- The app shows live scores and stuff while the games are happening, which is neat if you’re following along.
Anyway, that’s my experience with this MLS Apple thing. It’s a bit of a bummer that you gotta pay extra, but hey, at least we can watch all the games now, right? Hope this was helpful for any other soccer fans out there scratching their heads about this!
