You guys, I just had to jump on here and tell you about my experience with Nilah after the recent patch. When I heard she was getting nerfed, I was like, “What? Why?” So I started to digging.

First, I hopped into a couple of games to get a feel for things. I mean, you can’t really get what’s going on unless you play, right? I played a few matches with her before this whole nerf thing and was doing pretty good, pulling off some nice moves and feeling like I was really helping the team. Her win rate was super high, something like 52%, which is kind of nuts when you think about it. So, yeah, she was strong, maybe a little too strong, you know?
Then I did some digging online, because you know when they nerf a champion so fast, there’s gotta be a reason. Turns out, I wasn’t the only one who thought she was a bit much. A lot of people were saying she was overpowered, especially in the bot lane. The fact that she was the third champion to be nerfed after Master Yi, Gwen, and Sivir.
Here’s What I Found:
- High Win Rate: Like I said, 52% is pretty wild for a new champion. It means she was winning more than half her games, which isn’t very balanced.
- Hotfix Nerf: This is what really got me. They didn’t even wait for a full patch; they just slapped a hotfix on her. That tells you Riot Games thought she was seriously messing with the game.
- Bot Lane Dominance: She was apparently crushing it in the bot lane, making it tough for other champions to compete.
After playing those games post-nerf, I started to get it. She still feels good, but not as crazy strong as before. It’s like they just toned her down a bit to make things more fair. I guess Riot saw the same thing everyone else was seeing and had to do something quick.
So, yeah, that’s my take on the whole Nilah nerf situation. It was a wild ride seeing her go from super strong to, well, normal strong, but I think it makes sense. I’ll keep playing her, though. She’s still fun, even if she’s not totally busted anymore!
