So, I finally did it. I played Pebble Beach. For years, this was on my bucket list, and let me tell you, it was an experience. But before I get to the good stuff, you guys are probably wondering, “How much did this whole thing cost?”

Getting on the Course
First things first, getting a tee time at Pebble Beach isn’t like booking at your local course. It’s a whole process. I started by looking into their membership options because I thought, “Hey, maybe becoming a member could save some bucks, right?” Turns out, it’s not that simple. The membership is non-transferable, and get this, the initiation fee alone is around $18,000 with monthly dues of $260! Yeah, it includes a lot, like two top-ranked golf courses, a fitness center, and fancy dining, but still, that’s a hefty price!
Then, I found out the standard way most people play is by booking a stay at one of the Pebble Beach properties. I booked two nights, and it was not cheap, about $2,125. This is the minimum if you really want to secure a tee time.
The Actual Round
With the stay booked, I was all set to play. I decided to hire a caddie, which added around $150, including the tip. It made the experience so much more immersive. Walking the course with someone who knows every nook and cranny, the history, and the best way to approach each hole was awesome. I did see some folks using golf carts, which are available for a fee, but I wanted to soak it all in by walking.
Was It Worth It?
So, all in all, I spent a pretty penny to play Pebble Beach, somewhere north of $2,275. Was it worth it? Absolutely. The course is stunning. Every hole has a view that’ll make you stop and stare. The history, the challenge, the sheer beauty of the place—it’s a golfer’s dream. I took a ton of photos, played one of the best rounds of my life, and made memories that I’ll cherish forever.
If you’re a golf fanatic like me and have the means, I’d say go for it. It’s more than just a round of golf; it’s an experience. And who knows, maybe one day I’ll become a member, but for now, I’m happy I crossed this one off my bucket list.
