Okay, so, the Bengals, right? They’re spicing things up with their uniforms this year, and I got really into it. I started digging around online when I heard the news.
First thing I did was check out their official announcement. They’re doing this whole “all-orange” thing for their season opener against the Patriots on September 8th. I marked that date down – gotta see how that looks on the field!
- Scoured the internet for any leaks or sneak peeks of the new designs.
- Found some cool fan-made concepts, but nothing official yet.
- Decided to make some mock-ups of my own, just for fun.
Then, I learned they’re bringing back the “White Bengal” look for their Week 8 game against the Eagles. That’s the white jersey, white pants, white socks combo. I remember seeing some buzz about that last year when they paired it with the white helmets. They couldn’t use it with their updated jerseys before because of some NFL rules. I guess they figured it out now though, because now it’s designated as an alternate look and they can pair it with their new jersey.
I also stumbled upon some chatter that they won’t be going full orange against the Chargers. Instead, they are putting the orange pants with black stripes with the jerseys.
I watched a few videos showcasing some of the players like Joe Burrow, Joe Mixon, and Tee Higgins in the new gear. They look pretty sharp, not gonna lie. I spent a good chunk of the afternoon comparing the old and new designs side-by-side. Noticed some subtle changes in the striping and the overall cut. I made some notes on what I liked and what I wasn’t too crazy about. Even made a list about it.
- The all-orange is bold, for sure. It’ll definitely stand out.
- The “White Bengal” is clean and classic. Good to see it back.
- A little sad they aren’t using all orange against the Chargers but I suppose it is what it is.
I ended up spending way more time on this than I planned, but hey, it was fun. I even shared some of my thoughts on a Bengals forum I’m part of. Got into a few good discussions with other fans. Seems like everyone’s pretty excited about the new look.
I got so excited, I nearly pre-ordered one of the new jerseys. Had to remind myself to wait and see them in action first! I’m definitely planning to watch those games, though. Gotta see these new uniforms in action. It will be fun to hear what my buddies think, too. I will have to text them when the games are on. Overall it was pretty cool to get in on the rollout like this.
