Alright, so today I wanna talk about this guy, Michael Iavarone. I first heard his name on the racetrack, which kinda surprised me ’cause I thought he was done with that scene. Turns out, he teamed up with his old trainer buddy, Rick Dutrow Jr., and they’re back at it.

My journey with Michael’s story started when I saw a news piece about him. It got me curious, so I started digging. Turns out, this guy has had quite a ride in the restaurant business, going from Malta to London, and even all the way to Vietnam. Pretty wild, right?
The IEAH Stable
Then I found out about this IEAH stable thing he used to run. When it closed down back in 2013, everyone thought that was the last we’d see of him in the horse racing world. Boy, were we wrong!
I started listening to these podcasts and some interviews.
- First, I listened to a TDN podcast. It was super interesting.
- Then, I read an interview on BloodHorse, dated January 22.
It was like, “Whoa, this guy’s still in the game!” The interview was with Molly Rollins, and it was all about his hope to “Break Pegasus Curse in 2024.” Whatever that means. Sounds intense, though.
So, I kept piecing things together. From what I gathered, Michael’s a guy who doesn’t give up easily. He’s had his ups and downs, from the restaurant world to the racetrack, and now he’s back in the horse racing scene, trying to make a comeback. I’m not really into horse racing, but his story is pretty inspiring, not gonna lie.
It’s like one of those stories where you think someone’s down and out, but then they pop back up, stronger than ever. I guess that’s what I learned from following Michael Iavarone’s story. It’s a good reminder that you can always bounce back, no matter what life throws at you.
