Hey guys, it’s been a while! Today I wanna talk about something I’ve been messing around with lately – the college football bowl game announcements. You know, those big games at the end of the season? Yeah, those.

So, first off, I started digging around to figure out when these announcements usually happen. Turns out, it’s a pretty big deal, spanning about three weeks in December and January. I found out that this year, the whole thing kicks off on December 16th. Man, that’s soon!
Then, I went on a mission to find a list of all the games. It wasn’t too hard, honestly. There are 43 bowl games in total this year. 43! That’s a lot of football. I started making a list of them all, just to keep track.
- First one I wrote down was the Myrtle Beach Bowl.
- It’s Georgia Southern versus Ohio.
- And guess what? It’s also on a Saturday.
I also learned that these games are mostly played by NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision teams. That’s a mouthful, huh? They just call it FBS for short. I always wondered about that.
While I was at it, I stumbled upon some news about the 2023-2024 College Football Playoff National Championship. Apparently, Michigan won against Washington, 34-13! That game was on January 8th. It’s their first national championship since 1997, so it must have been a huge deal for them.
Oh, and ESPN is all over this stuff. They’ve got like 17 bowl games scheduled across ESPN and ABC. I jotted that down too, just in case I want to catch some of them on TV.

So yeah, that’s basically what I’ve been up to. Gathering all this info about the bowl game announcements. It’s been kinda fun, honestly. I might even try to watch a few games this year. We’ll see!
That’s it for now.
Catch you guys later!
