So yesterday I grabbed my controller, fired up Destiny 2, and thought “alright let’s crack this Requiem thing everyone’s buzzing about”. Had no clue where to start honestly – the icon looked kinda fancy near the Moon map but that’s about it.
First thing I did? Got absolutely wrecked trying to solo it. Walked in with my usual auto rifle/shotgun loadout, died three times before even reaching the first boss. Realized those shielded “Anathemic” yellow bars soaked up bullets like sponges. Switched to void weapons midway – big difference. Pro tip: void damage melts their shields stupid fast.
Got stuck again at the laser puzzle room. Legit walked circles for fifteen minutes shooting random plates until my clanmate shouted in voice chat: “Dude! Coordinate with symbols!” Felt so dumb. Here’s how it actually works:
- First symbol flashes on middle pillar
- Find that symbol’s matching plate ASAP
- One person stands on plate while others shoot glowing crystals
- Repeat for next two symbols
Final boss almost made me rage quit. Kept getting vaporized by his giant purple death blast. Tried hiding behind pillars – worked until he smashed the whole cover. Finally figured the trick: when he charges that wipe attack, just unload everything into his exposed chest core. Two damage phases later, boom – mission complete.
Loot’s worth the headache though. Dropped a gnarly LMG with perk combos I’ve never seen before. Whole run takes like 20 minutes once you know the patterns. Moral of the story? Bring void weapons, coordinate symbols quick, and don’t panic during the big bang moment.
