So I fired up Palworld this morning like usual, ready to grind some resources near my base, and bam! My map flashed this weird icon I’d never seen before. Named “Lovander Field”. Zero clue what it was. Curiosity got me good, obviously. Grabbed my best gear, tossed a couple Pals in the team for backup, and just started running towards the map marker. No plan, just pure “what the heck is this place?” energy.
The Journey Was Rough, Honestly
Took longer than I thought to get there. Had to dodge a bunch of high-level Syndicate goons patrolling the roads, almost got jumped by a pack of wild Dinossoms – those guys hit hard. Terrain got weird too, rocky and steep near the end. Finally crested a hill, and wow. Big open field, different vibe from the usual forests or deserts. Had this strange pinkish tint to the grass. And the Pals? Totally new ones I hadn’t caught before, just wandering around.
Here’s What Worked For Me (And What Didn’t)
Dove straight in, trying to catch everything I saw. Bad move. Some of those new Pals, like the fluffy pink sheep-looking one, were way faster than expected. Others, like the spiky rock lizard thing, had crazy defense. Learned real quick this wasn’t beginner territory. Got KO’d twice trying to go solo against tougher variants. Embarrassing, but useful.
Switched tactics. Started observing:
- Use Cover: Big rocks and those weird glowing crystals all over the field? Perfect for breaking line-of-sight when you need to heal Pals or craft ammo mid-fight.
- Element Matters MORE Here: Found Fire Pals absolutely melted the Ice-types I saw, but got wrecked by some nasty Ground Pals I hadn’t spotted hiding underground. Bring a mix!
- Target the Slow Movers First: Focused on the chunkier, slower new Pals. Easier catches, less chance of them fleeing or calling buddies. Saved the speedy weirdos for later with specialized balls.
- Pack Mega Spheres: Those basic Pal Spheres? Forget it. Burned through 30 trying to catch a single high-level field bird. Mega Spheres worked way more reliably. Stock up before you go!
My Big “Oh!” Moment
After getting my butt kicked a few times, I noticed something. Right in the middle of Lovander Field, there’s this slightly raised plateau thing. Climbed up there with my Nitewing. Not only was the view awesome, but barely any enemies spawned up top. Became my perfect safe spot. Set down a basic chest and a Pal box, made it my little recovery base. Total game changer for longer sessions.
Spent hours just running around that weird pink field. It’s beautiful but dangerous, seriously. Found some amazing new stuff for crafting and a couple fantastic new Pals for my squad. Totally worth the effort. Just go prepared and don’t be an idiot like me charging in blind. That’s how you waste good spheres and respawn!
