- Scratched my head over “must-win”: Kept seeing that phrase online. Everyone throwing it around. But what does it actually mean? For the Mets right now? Simple. Win almost every game against those weaker teams coming up. Lose a series now? Forget playoffs. Probably lights out.
The Harsh Reality Check
Leaned back in my creaky chair. Cold brew was long gone. Stared at my messy list and the standings still glowing on the screen. The losses dug such a deep damn hole. It’s not hopeless, sure, but it’s steep as hell.
