Fish balloons kept popping when I tried tying them – three casualties before YouTube saved me with a “balloon knot hack.” Felt pretty dang proud when the living room finally looked like a happy octopus threw up everywhere.
Party Time Chaos
Kids arrived. Immediate chaos. One little demon poked holes in my treasure chest snack bowl within five minutes. BUT! The photo booth corner with mermaid tails and seaweed props? Absolute hit. Parents kept snapping pics while kids made fish faces. Even caught my grumpy brother laughing behind a cardboard dolphin cutout.
Aftermath Thoughts
Cleaning glitter out of the carpet for three days sucked sweaty socks. Still found a shiny fish sticker stuck to my shoe at work yesterday. Worth it? Hell yeah. The underwater vibe made the party feel special without costing half my paycheck. Dayana’s ideas saved my butt – just maybe skip the glitter next time.
