Getting to Camp de Mar Spain Airport Travel Tips

Getting to Camp de Mar from the Airport

When I landed at Palma Airport yesterday, my first thought was damn this place is huge. Took me 25 minutes just walking from Gate B17 to baggage claim. My checked backpack was already circling when I got there – score one for efficiency!

Followed airport signs to car rental desks. The queue at Hertz looked like Disneyland line so I chose Goldcar instead. Big mistake. Had to wait 45 minutes while they checked every scratch on their damn Fiat 500. Pro tip: snap photos of every dent before driving off!

    What surprised me:

  • Zero ATMs at arrivals level
  • Phone charging stations needed tokens
  • Spanish police with giant machine guns just chilling

Took highway Ma-1 toward Camp de Mar. Saw toll sign too late and had to reverse! Fumbled for coins while horns blasted behind me. Got 1.90€ ready before toll stations next time.

Google Maps took me to some cliffside dead end. Switched to Waze and found proper route. Drove through winding roads past stone walls draped in pink flowers. Saw this epic sunset over the sea – almost crashed taking photos.

Reached apartment after 3 wrong turns. Street lighting sucked. My advice: land before dark and bring euros for tolls. Totally worth it when you smell the salty air!
