Alright, so, “kiss me *,” huh? Sounds like a St. Patrick’s Day kinda thing, right? Well, lemme tell ya how I tackled this project. Started off thinkin’, “Okay, what’s the most obvious thing I can do here?”

First off, I grabbed some green paint. Like, a proper, leprechaun-approved shade of green. Headed down to the local craft store, picked up a small canvas – nothing too fancy, just somethin’ to mess around with. I figured I’d slap some paint on there, maybe try and get a nice, textured background going.
Then I rummaged through my stash of stencils. I’ve got this whole box of ’em, letters, shapes, all sorts of crap. Found some letter stencils that were about the right size. “KISS ME,” easy enough. “I’M IRISH,” fit right underneath.
Now, here’s where I messed up a bit. I figured I could just spray paint the letters on. Bad idea. The paint bled under the stencils, looked all blurry and crap. So, I waited for it to dry, which felt like forever, and then I went back with a tiny brush and tried to clean up the edges. Made it look a little better, but still not great.
At this point, I was like, “Screw it, I’m adding some glitter.” Glitter fixes everything, right? Threw on some clear-drying glue over the whole thing, then dumped a whole bunch of green glitter on top. Shook off the excess, and… not bad! It kinda hid the blurry edges of the letters, and it made the whole thing sparkly.
To finish it off, I grabbed a small wooden frame from the dollar store. Painted it gold because, why not? Glued the canvas into the frame, and bam! “kiss me *” in all its glittery, slightly-messed-up glory. It’s definitely not perfect, but it’s got character, you know? And hey, it was a fun afternoon project.

- Got some green paint
- Found some stencils
- Spray painted the letters (badly)
- Added glitter (much better)
- Framed it in gold
Learned a few things along the way: Spray paint and stencils are a tricky combo. Maybe I should’ve used a sponge or something. Also, glitter is your friend. Seriously, it covers up a multitude of sins.
All in all, a decent project. Would I do it again? Probably, but I’d definitely try a different method for the lettering next time. Maybe even hand-paint it. Who knows?
