Alright, so the big question on my mind this morning, like a lot of Sundays when there’s a race, was about who actually managed to grab that pole position for the NASCAR race later today. It’s one of those little pre-race details I always like to know.

My Usual Sunday Morning Check
You know how it is, if you’re a fan. Sunday morning, coffee’s brewing, and you’re just starting to think about the race. For me, finding out the starting grid, especially who’s on pole, is part of that warm-up. It just sets the stage in my head.
So, my process isn’t anything fancy. I didn’t go digging through super specific forums or anything like that, not at first anyway. My first step was pretty simple:
- Grabbed my phone – it’s always quicker than booting up the old desktop.
- Opened up my usual web browser.
- Typed in something straightforward like “NASCAR pole winner for Sunday’s race” or “who qualified pole today NASCAR.”
I find that keeping the search terms basic usually gets me there the fastest. The search engines are pretty smart these days.
Getting the Info
Usually, by Sunday morning, this info is plastered everywhere on the major sports sites. Sometimes, if qualifying ran late on Saturday or if there were any issues, you might have to wait a bit, or the very first results might be a bit jumbled with predictions instead of actual outcomes. I remember one time, qualifying was a complete wash-out, and they set the grid by practice speeds or owner points, and it took a while for the definitive list to show up clearly. That was a bit of a muddle, trying to figure that one out.
But today, it was pretty smooth. The results popped up almost immediately. I clicked on one of the top sports news outlets, one I generally trust for quick updates. And there it was, clear as day.

So, after that quick search, I found out that Chase Elliott managed to put his car on pole for the race. That’s always interesting, seeing how he’ll manage the start and if he can hold onto that lead in the early laps.
It’s not a complicated process, really. Just a bit of focused searching. Knowing who’s up front just adds that little bit more anticipation for when the green flag drops. Now, just gotta see how the race itself unfolds!
