- Farmable Loot (Sometimes!): This is where it gets really good. For many of the dungeons, when they are the featured weekly one, you can farm the encounters repeatedly for legendary drops. Want a specific weapon or armor piece from that dungeon? Normally, you get one chance per character per week from each encounter. But when it’s the weekly spotlight? You can run it over and over. I’ve spent hours grinding a single encounter in a weekly dungeon just chasing a god roll weapon. Tedious? Yes. Worth it when that perfect roll drops? Absolutely.
I remember when Prophecy was the weekly dungeon for the first time after I learned this. I ran that thing so many times trying to get a decent Last Breath auto rifle. My fireteam probably got sick of hearing me, but hey, we all got some good stuff out of it. Before knowing this, I’d run a dungeon once and think, “Okay, done for the week.” What a waste of potential loot!
