Getting Started with the Hunt
So, I decided I really wanted to get my hands on one of those elusive differently colored Flebebe. You know, the ones that sparkle? Yeah, that was the goal. I’d been playing the latest version of the game a lot, and thought, why not add this little guy to my collection? It seemed like a fun little project to take on.
First things first, I had to prepare. I read up a bit online, and everyone was saying the sandwich method was the way to go for these newer games. So, I went about gathering all my ingredients. It’s always a bit of a chore, right? Running around, making sure you have enough Herba Mystica. That stuff isn’t exactly growing on trees, you know. But, for a shiny, you gotta do what you gotta do. I made sure I had everything for a Fairy-type encounter boost.
The Long Search
With my sandwich made – I think it was a Fairy Encounter Power Level 3, or something like that – I headed out to a spot where Flebebe pop up a lot. I found a nice field, plenty of flowers. And then the waiting game began. Or rather, the circling game. Just riding my buddy around in circles, scanning every little flower that appeared on screen.
Man, let me tell you, it took a while. A good long while. I probably saw hundreds, maybe even thousands, of regular Flebebe. My eyes started playing tricks on me after the first hour. Sometimes I’d see a flicker out of the corner of my eye and think, “Is that it?!” but nope, just the lighting or another Pokémon photobombing me. It’s a real test of patience, this shiny hunting business. You really gotta want it.
- Made about five sandwiches in total, back-to-back.
- Probably encountered well over 600 Flebebe, I lost count.
- Almost ran into a shiny Hoppip by accident! That was a surprise. Caught it, of course, then got back to the main mission.
I was starting to get a bit disheartened, you know? Thinking maybe today just wasn’t the day for Flebebe. I even took a break, stretched my legs, made some actual coffee for myself. Cleared my head a bit before diving back in. You can’t just stare at the screen for hours straight, it’ll drive you mad.
Finally! The Sparkle!
Then, I went back for one more try. One more sandwich. Told myself, “Okay, this is the last one for today.” And just as I was about to really call it quits for the day, there it was. A little white Flebebe! The ones in this area are usually red or yellow for me, so it stood out immediately. And then the sparkle animation! Oh man, the relief and excitement all hit at once! You just can’t beat that feeling.
I’m not gonna lie, my hands were a bit shaky. First thing I did? Hit that save button. Always, always save when you see a shiny. You don’t want any tragic stories, like the game crashing or something silly. Then, I carefully started the encounter. Didn’t want to accidentally knock it out with a critical hit or have it use some weird move and disappear. I just chucked a Premier Ball at it – felt fancy for the occasion. And thankfully, after a few wiggles, it stayed in! Click!
So yeah, that’s how I got my shiny Flebebe. Took a good few hours out of my day, a bit of frustration with all the regular ones, but totally worth it when you see those sparkles and get that catch. Now it’s just chilling in my party, looking pretty. A good day’s work, I’d say. On to the next hunt, maybe?
