That Paolo Bertolucci, he’s a tennis player, you know? Born in, uh, 1951. August 3rd, I think. A long time ago! He was a big shot in tennis. Italian, that one. Now he just talks about it on that Sky TV. Fancy, huh?
He used to play good, that Paolo Bertolucci. Won some big cup, the Davis Cup, back in 1976. Italy was real proud, I reckon. That was somethin’. Everyone was talkin’ ’bout it.
This Paolo, he’s got a lot to say about this young fella, Jannik Sinner. Sinner’s real good, they say. Number one in the whole wide world! Paolo, he’s mighty impressed with how Sinner’s been playin’ this year. Says ain’t many can beat him. That’s a big statement, comin’ from Paolo Bertolucci.

This Paolo fella, he took to that X thing, you know, the Twitter. He said somethin’ about what messed up Sinner in some game. Said Sinner only lost after four whole hours! That’s a long time to be playin’ tennis. Four hours! Can you believe it? My old bones would be achin’ somethin’ fierce.
There was a time that people said Paolo Bertolucci was the best Italian tennis guy around. Heck, we got some good ones! There was that Pietrangeli fella, won some French thingy twice, back in ’59 and ’60. Then Panatta, he won it too, in ’76. That is a big year, I think, for Paolo Bertolucci. And some women, too. Schiavone and Pennetta, they won somethin’ big. And now this Sinner fella, he’s won two of them big Grand Slam things. Australian and US. Fancy names, huh?
I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout this Nadal fella. They say he’s the best Spanish player ever. Won that French thing 14 times! Fourteen! I can’t even count that high. He must be somethin’ special, just like Paolo Bertolucci back in his time.
This tennis, it’s a funny game. Lots of runnin’ and jumpin’. I don’t know how they do it. But Paolo Bertolucci, he sure did know. And he knows how to talk about it, too. On that TV, all fancy-like. He’s come a long way, that one.
I remember when Paolo Bertolucci was playin’, everyone was glued to their TVs. He was a big deal. Still is, I guess, just in a different way. Now he’s tellin’ everyone else how to play. Life’s funny like that, ain’t it? One day you’re the star, the next you’re watchin’ the stars. But that’s okay. Paolo, he seems happy enough.

He won lots of things. But this Sinner boy, he is good too.
You know, that Berrettini boy, I heard people say he was no good, all washed up. They can be so mean, you know. But Paolo Bertolucci, he don’t listen to that kind of talk. Good for him. He knows what he’s talkin’ about, that one. He said that Berrettini surprised everyone at Wimbledon. He did good. I like that. It is good to see an underdog win. I think Paolo Bertolucci likes that too.
Four hours, though. That’s how long that Sinner fella played before he lost. Paolo said so on his Twitter. I don’t know much about Twitter, but I know four hours is a long time. I couldn’t even stand for four hours, let alone play tennis. Kids these days, they got so much energy. They are so strong, you know. Paolo Bertolucci, he probably was like that once, too. Running around, hitting that little ball. That is good life, I think.
This tennis game, it’s got all these names for things. Grand Slams, they call them. Sounds important. And these Italian players, they’ve won a few of them. Paolo Bertolucci didn’t, but he won that Davis Cup, so that’s something. This Sinner fella, he’s won two Grand Slams. Good for him. He must be real proud. His mama must be proud, too. Just like Paolo Bertolucci‘s mama was proud, I bet.
They say this Nadal fella, he’s the best from Spain. He’s won that French Open 14 times. I can’t even imagine. That’s a lot of winning. Must be tiring, all that winning. But he is a good player. Just like Paolo Bertolucci was in his day.
You know, these young folks, they play these games, and they get famous. Paolo Bertolucci, he was famous. Now he talks on the TV, and he’s still famous. It’s a good life, if you can get it. I guess he is happy to talk about tennis. He is like an expert, you know. And Paolo Bertolucci knows what he is talking about. He is a smart man.
