Alright, so I finally got around to spending some real time with Cloak and Dagger in Marvel Rivals the other day. Wasn’t sure what to expect, you know? Two characters acting as one, seemed kinda complicated at first glance.

Jumped into a few matches. My first thought? Okay, this is weird. Controlling them felt a bit different. I started spamming buttons, trying to figure out what did what. Tandy throws these light daggers, right? So I was just chucking those things everywhere. Some hit enemies, some seemed to… heal my teammates? Took me a minute to realize that part. Kept trying to use Tyrone’s teleport, the Cloak guy. Man, I messed that up a lot early on. Zipped myself right into walls or straight into the enemy team more times than I wanna admit. It wasn’t pretty.
Getting the Hang of It
After getting stomped a few times, I slowed down. Started actually reading the ability descriptions. Okay, so Dagger’s main attack bounces, heals allies nearby when it hits an enemy. That’s huge. Started aiming more carefully, trying to hit enemies who were close to my buddies. Felt pretty good when I saw those green numbers pop up on my team.
And Cloak’s teleport? It’s not just for me. I realized I could pull teammates with me. Had this one match where our tank was about to get melted, I just popped over, grabbed him, and bam, we were back behind cover. Felt like a real hero moment, not gonna lie. That’s when it clicked: they’re all about teamwork and positioning.
Key things I focused on:
- Using Dagger’s bouncing blades to heal allies while poking enemies.
- Using Cloak’s teleport more defensively, saving teammates or repositioning myself to heal better.
- Trying to stay near teammates to maximize the healing bounces.
I saw something about a combo with Moon Knight, making him invisible in some kind of realm. Haven’t pulled that off myself yet. Seems like you need good coordination, maybe someone you’re actually talking to. Most games everyone’s just doing their own thing, you know?

How It Feels Playing Them
So, playing them feels… busy. You’re constantly looking for angles for Dagger’s shots, watching teammate health bars, and figuring out the right time to use Cloak’s teleport. It’s definitely not a character you can just turn your brain off and play. You gotta pay attention.
They feel like proper support characters, but with a bit of bite. The healing is strong if you can land those bounces right, and the teleport is a game-changer for saving people or making sneaky plays. But if you get caught out alone? Forget about it. You’re squishy. Learned that the hard way too.
Overall, it was a fun session once I got past the initial fumbling. They need practice, for sure. But pulling off a good heal-chain or a clutch teleport save feels really rewarding. Definitely gonna keep messing around with them, see if I can get that Moon Knight synergy thing working sometime.
