Okay, so I recently got done watching the second season of Reacher. Pretty solid stuff, right? But what really grabbed me, besides all the action, was the music. Man, they picked some great tracks.
As soon as I finished the season, I got this itch. You know the one? Where you hear a song in a show and just have to know what it is. So, my little project began: find all that music.
First off, I did the obvious thing. Grabbed my laptop, opened up a search engine. I typed in variations like “Reacher season two songs” and “music from Reacher S2”. Got a bunch of results, naturally. Some websites had lists, but they felt kinda… incomplete? Or sometimes just listed the composer’s score, which is cool, but I was after those specific rock and blues tracks they played during scenes.
So, I dug a bit deeper. I remembered seeing people talk about shows on forums and social media places. I didn’t want to get lost in endless scrolling, but I dipped my toes in, searching for discussions specifically about the soundtrack. Found a few threads where people were asking the same questions I had. Sometimes, someone would chime in with a song title they recognized.
It was still pretty scattered, though. No single place had everything listed out nicely. I even tried going back through episodes. Watched a few key scenes again, phone in hand, trying to use one of those music recognition apps. That worked… sometimes. Background noise or dialogue often messed it up.
Putting it Together
Right, I thought, I’ll just make my own list. Seemed like the most reliable way. I started going through episode summaries online, trying to match scenes people were talking about with songs I could remember or identify.
Here’s basically what I did:
- Watched clips or specific scenes again if I could find them.
- Used music ID apps when possible, hoping for a clean sound bite.
- Checked those fan discussions again for any confirmed titles.
- Cross-referenced findings between different sources if I found multiple lists.
- Listened to snippets of potential songs to confirm they matched the vibe and sound I remembered from the show.
It took a bit of time, piecing it all together. Like detective work, but for music. Found a lot of great classic rock, some bluesy stuff, even a bit of country rock in there. It all fit the show’s atmosphere really well, that kind of tough, wandering-man vibe.
Finally, I had a pretty decent list compiled. Felt good to have tracked them down. Now I can just pull up those tunes whenever I want. It’s always satisfying when you manage to hunt down something like that.
Anyway, that was my little adventure into the music of the show. Always fun to dive into the soundtrack side of things.
