Alright, folks, let’s talk about tackling the trophies in “South Park: The Stick of Truth.” I’m not gonna lie, some of these are a real pain, but I managed to snag that platinum, and I’m here to share how I did it.

Getting Started: One Playthrough is Possible, But…
I initially tried to get everything in one go. Big mistake. You can technically do it, but it involves a ton of save scumming and following a guide religiously. I messed up a couple of times early on, so I decided to do two playthroughs. The first was just for fun, getting a feel for the game, and enjoying the story.
Playthrough 1: Fun Run!
I picked my class (I went with Thief, because, why not?), and just played. Didn’t worry too much about missable stuff. Just soaked it all in. I focused on the main story, did some side quests, and experimented with different abilities and buddies. Enjoyed the jokes and the random weirdness. This playthrough, I clocked in around 15 hours, give or take.
Playthrough 2: Trophy Hunter Mode
This is where the real work began. I printed out a checklist of all the missable trophies – seriously, there are a LOT. This includes:
- Friend Requests: Gotta friend everyone. Some are tied to specific quests, and you can lock yourself out if you’re not careful.
- Chinpokomon: These little buggers are EVERYWHERE. Some only appear during certain parts of the story.
- Costumes & Weapons: Another big collection task. Again, some are only available for a short time.
- Specific Combat Trophies: Things like farting on every buddy, or using certain abilities in specific ways.
I basically followed a guide step-by-step for this playthrough. I’d save before every major story beat, just in case I missed something. It felt a little less “South Park” and a bit more “checklist simulator,” but it was necessary.
A few key things I learned during this run:

- Always talk to everyone. Seriously, EVERYONE. Several times.
- Check every nook and cranny. There’s stuff hidden everywhere.
- Don’t sell anything until you’re absolutely sure you don’t need it. I made this mistake, and had to reload an earlier save.
- For the combat trophies, I’d often start a fight, do what I needed for the trophy, and then reload. Saved a lot of time and hassle.
- Make sure to fart on all enemies, including bosses. A lot!
The Finish Line
My second playthrough was a bit longer, probably around 20 hours, because of all the extra stuff I was doing. But, finally, that platinum trophy popped. It was a good feeling, I’ll admit. If you’re a completionist, it’s definitely doable, but be prepared for some serious dedication and guide-following.
Hope this helps some of you fellow “South Park” fans out there. It is a great game! Good luck with your trophy hunting, feel free to leave a comment if you have more questions.
