Need a Riddler Shirt? Find Awesome Riddler Shirt Designs Here!

Okay, so I saw this cool Riddler shirt idea online and thought, “I gotta try making that!” It looked simple enough, just a green shirt with a big question mark, right? Well, let’s just say it was a bit more involved than I initially thought.

First, I went to the local craft store and picked up a plain green t-shirt. Make sure it’s 100% cotton, you know for dying and stuff. I also grabbed some black fabric paint and a big stencil of a question mark. I thought about using cardboard to make my own, but let’s be real, I wanted this to look somewhat decent.

The Dyeing Process (Or, How I Almost Ruined a Perfectly Good Shirt)

I followed online instruction to make the T-shirt better, and then started my own working.

  • First things first, I washed the shirt. Gotta get rid of any sizing or whatever they put on it in the factory.
  • I did all this and then prepare to paint.

Stenciling and Painting

This is where things got a little interesting. I laid the shirt out flat on some old newspapers (pro tip: don’t do this on your good table). Then, I carefully positioned the question mark stencil in the center of the shirt. I used some masking tape to hold it in place, making sure it was nice and secure.

Now for the paint. I shook the bottle of fabric paint really, really well. Then, using a foam brush, I started dabbing the paint onto the stencil. It’s important to dab, not brush, or else the paint might bleed under the stencil. I did a couple of coats, letting each one dry a bit before applying the next. I wanted that question mark to be super bold and black.

The Big Reveal (And a Sigh of Relief)

After the paint was completely dry (I waited a good few hours, just to be sure), I carefully peeled off the stencil. And… it looked pretty good! There were a couple of tiny imperfections, but overall, I was happy with it. I followed the instructions on the fabric paint bottle to heat-set the paint, basically just ironing the shirt inside out for a few minutes. And i have my own riddler shirt!

So, yeah, that’s how I made my Riddler shirt. It was a fun little project, and now I have a cool, unique shirt to wear. Maybe I’ll even try making some other superhero-themed shirts in the future!
