Okay, so, I wanted to try drawing that pink-haired girl from Dandadan. You know, the one with the, uh, spirited personality? Yeah, her.

First, I scoured the internet for some good reference pics. Gotta get the hair right, you know? It’s like, her whole thing. I found a bunch of manga panels and some fan art, too. That helped a lot.
Then, I started sketching. Just rough shapes at first. I always start with a circle for the head, then I add the jawline and stuff. This time, I spent extra time to render it a bit, and make it look detailed.
Getting the Hair Right
- I drew out the basic flow of her hair. It’s kinda wild and spiky, so I made sure to get that energy in there.
- Next, I added more details to the hair, like individual strands and those little, uh, flyaway bits.
- And shading! I added shadow under the hair.
I worked to draw the details of the clothes.I added folds in clothes.
After that, it was all about refining. I erased some lines, cleaned things up, and added more details until I was pretty happy with it.I added more shadow.
Coloring was next. I picked out the right shade of pink for her hair (it’s, like, super important!), then filled in the rest of the colors. Skin, clothes, all that jazz.

Finally, I added shadow to make her outstanding.
It’s not perfect, but I’m pretty stoked with how it turned out! It was a fun little project, and I definitely learned a thing or two about drawing crazy anime hair.
