Today, I wanted to mess around with something I’ve been putting off for a while – a project I’ve just been calling “t.c. chen”. Honestly, it’s not even a proper project yet, more like a vague idea I had.
So, I started by just creating a new folder. I didn’t even know what I was going to put in it, I just needed a place to start, you know?
Getting Started (Kind Of)
I opened up my code editor – nothing fancy, just my usual setup. I stared at the blank screen for a good five minutes. Seriously, I had no clue what I was doing.
Then I thought, “Okay, let’s just make a simple HTML file.” At least that’s something, right? So, I typed out the basic structure:

all that good stuff. I even added a <title> tag, calling it “t.c. chen” – just to make it official, I guess.
Adding Some (Very Basic) Content
Next, I figured I should put something in the body. I added a heading, <h2>My Experiment</h2>, and a paragraph, <p>This is where I'm going to document my progress... maybe.</p>. Pretty exciting, huh?
I saved the file and opened it in my browser. Yep, there it was. A completely underwhelming webpage. But hey, it was a start!
Where Do I Go From Here?
Honestly, I’m still not sure. I played around with adding some more text, maybe a list or two. I even considered adding some CSS to make it look slightly less terrible, but I decided against it for now. I want to keep it super simple, at least for the beginning.
So, that’s it. That’s my “t.c. chen” project so far. It’s not much, but it’s something. I’ll probably keep tinkering with it and see where it goes. Maybe it’ll turn into something cool, maybe it won’t. Who knows? That’s part of the fun, right?
