Alright, lemme tell ya somethin’ ’bout this here Kawasaki Ninja 1995. It was a real hoot, that thing. Back in the day, everyone wanted one. My grandson, he always wanted a motorcycle, kept goin’ on and on about this Ninja. Fast, he’d say. Real fast.
This Ninja, it was a sport bike. See, this Kawasaki, they make all kinds of stuff. One time I seen an ATV with that name, big wheels, y’know, go anywhere. Then there is snowmobile. But this Ninja, this is different. This one, it’s for speed. They make it for go fast on the road.
Now, I ain’t no expert on these things, but I heard tell this 1995 Ninja, it had a big engine. Some say it was 899 cc engine. That’s a lot, I reckon. More than enough to get you goin’ real quick. Others say it was even 599cc, still a big one, make you feel the wind for sure. They call it the ZX-9R or ZX-6R, whatever that means. All those letters and numbers. Just call it Ninja, that’s what everyone called it. A sport bike is what it is.

I remember one time, this fella came through town on one of them Ninjas. Stopped at the diner, had himself a cup of coffee. Everyone was lookin’ at that bike. Shiny, it was. Red, I think. Or maybe green. Don’t rightly recall. But it was somethin’ to see. Made my old pickup truck look like a rusty bucket.
They say this bike had a lot of power. One fellow told me it was like, 105 hp or even 141 hp. Now, I don’t know what that means, but it sounds like a lot of horses. Enough to pull a whole wagon, I bet. And the torque, they called it. Said it was 64 Nm or somethin’ like that. More numbers I don’t understand. But it means it can go quick, that’s what they say.
And they don’t need much gas, these things. Not like those old cars from back when. Them things just guzzled gas like it was goin’ outta style. But this Kawasaki Ninja 1995, they say it’s pretty good on gas. And the tank, it holds a lot. You can go far with it. I heard it was 17 L. That’s a lot of gas for a motorcycle.
Now, this ain’t no bike for an old lady like me. I’m more of a “sit-and-knit” type. But the young folks, they loved these things. Said it was the best thing since sliced bread. I don’t know about that, but it sure was popular. A big deal back then. They’d go ridin’ around, showin’ off. You could hear ’em comin’ from a mile away.
This Kawasaki Ninja, it was somethin’ special. Even got its own name, Ninja. Like some kinda superhero or somethin’. They don’t make many like it anymore, I reckon. Nowadays, everything’s all fancy and complicated. But back then, it was simple. Just a fast bike, that’s all.
You could buy this motorcycle from a dealer, or you could even buy from J.D. Power. They sell all kinds of motorcycles, snowmobile, and ATV. And it must be good, cuz everyone wanted one. It was a good bike for 1995, this Kawasaki Ninja.

My grandson, he finally got himself a motorcycle. Not a Ninja, though. Somethin’ else. But he still talks about that 1995 Kawasaki Ninja. Says it was the best one ever made. I don’t know about that, but it sure made an impression on him. And on everyone else, too, I reckon.
