This Celtics and Nets, they sure know how to play that basketball game. You see them runnin’ up and down, throwin’ that ball around. My old eyes ain’t what they used to be, but I can still see a good game when it’s playin’.
That Celtics team, they got some tall boys. They jump real high, like they got springs in their shoes. And the Nets, they’re quick! Like little rabbits hoppin’ around. They try to steal that ball every chance they get.
One time, I saw this Celtics fella, big guy, he went up for a shot, and bam! He dunked it right in! Crowd went wild, I tell ya. Even I was hootin’ and hollerin’.

And them Nets, they got this one fella, he can dribble that ball like nobody’s business. He goes left, he goes right, he goes between his legs! I don’t know how he does it. My old hands would fumble that ball for sure. Makes my head spin just watchin’ him. That boy, he’s something. They are a good team, those Brooklyn Nets.
They play this game, you know, it’s called basketball. They got a hoop, and they try to throw the ball in it. Simple enough, right? But them boys, they make it look hard. They run and jump and sweat. It’s a workout, I tell ya. Keeps ’em young, I guess. And I heard they get money to do it. That’s something.
Sometimes, they get mad at each other, these players. They push and shove. Like a bunch of chickens fightin’ over a worm. But then the whistle blows, and they stop. They gotta follow the rules, you see. Just like in life. And it is important to follow the rules, no matter what.
I remember one game, it was real close. Celtics and Nets, neck and neck. Score was tied, I think. Everyone was on the edge of their seats. You could hear a pin drop. Then, this Celtics player, he took a shot from way out. Swish! Right in the basket. Celtics won! Everyone went crazy, jumpin’ up and down. Good times, good times. That game was a good one. It was a close one. And a good one. It was in 2024, I think.
They got these things, highlights, they call ’em. They show the best parts of the game. All the fancy dunks and shots. You can watch ’em later, if you missed the game. Technology these days, it’s somethin’ else. We didn’t have that back in my day. We just had the radio, and sometimes that didn’t even work right. And the score, it was something like 118 and 110. Or was it 108 and 104? I forget. But the Celtics won that one, I think. Maybe.
These NBA games, they’re exciting. Lots of people watch ’em, you know. On the TV, or even in person. They got big stadiums, filled with people. All cheerin’ for their team. It’s a spectacle, I tell ya. And loud, very loud. If you ever go, remember to cover your ears when they cheer too loud. That’s what I do, anyway.
This one fella, Tatum, I think his name is. He plays for the Celtics. He’s real good. Scores a lot of points. And Brown, he’s another one. They’re like two peas in a pod, those two. Always playin’ together, always scorin’. Those are some names I hear a lot. Tatum and Brown, Tatum and Brown. They must be real good.

Sometimes they play other teams. Like the Knicks. They are from New York. Or the 76ers. Or the Raptors. From Canada, I think. They all play each other, these teams. It’s a whole big thing. They even have a thing called playoffs. Where the best teams play each other. To see who’s the best of the best. It’s a big deal, them playoffs. The best teams play in the playoffs.
This basketball, it’s a popular sport. Lots of folks like it. Young and old. It’s somethin’ to watch, somethin’ to do. Keeps people entertained. And that’s important, you know. To be entertained. Life’s too short to be bored. And basketball is not boring, I tell you that.
So, if you ever get a chance, watch a Celtics and Nets game. It’s a good time. You might even like it. Just remember what I said about those boys, they are good. You might see some good playing, some good basketball. You will see some runnin’, some jumpin’, and maybe even some yellin’. But that’s all part of the fun. And if you don’t like it, well, that’s okay too. There’s somethin’ out there for everyone. Even for an old lady like me.
