Well, let me tell ya ’bout this here 2017 Honda CBR500RR, or whatever they call it. I ain’t no expert, mind you, but I know a thing or two ’bout gettin’ around.
First off, this here bike, it looks real purdy. Shiny and sleek, like one of them fancy race cars you see on the TV. They say it takes after them “Supersport RR” models, whatever that means. Sounds important, I guess. Looks like it too, with all them fancy curves and whatnot. This bike, it ain’t no ugly duckling, that’s for sure.
Now, some folks say you need a big ol’ powerful bike to have fun. They talk about them “SV650s” and “MT07s.” Heck, I don’t know nothin’ ’bout them. But this here CBR500RR, it ain’t no slouch neither. It’s got somethin’ like 47 horses, they say. That’s a lot of horses, if you ask me. More than enough to get you goin’ where you need to go, and fast too, if you feel like it.
- It’s got enough pep to make you grin, that’s for sure.
- And it ain’t gonna throw you off like a buckin’ bronco neither. It’s smooth, real smooth.
- Like butter meltin’ on a hot biscuit, that’s how smooth it is.
I heard some young fellers talkin’ ’bout ridin’ this bike in the canyons. You know, them twisty roads up in the hills. Said it was a hoot and a half. Now, I ain’t much for canyon carvin’ myself, but I can see why they like it. This bike, it handles good. It goes where you point it, no fuss, no muss. And the brakes, they work real good too. Stop you on a dime, they do. That’s important, you know, bein’ able to stop when you need to. Ain’t no good havin’ all that power if you can’t control it.
They say this here bike is good for tourin’ too. Tourin’, that’s when you go ridin’ for a long ways, seein’ the country. And I can see why. The seat, it’s low to the ground, so even short folks like me can touch the ground easy. And the way you sit on it, it’s comfortable. Not all hunched over like you’re tryin’ to tie your shoes while you’re ridin’. You can sit up straight and enjoy the scenery. And that engine, it just purrs along, smooth and steady. You could ride this thing all day and not feel all beat up and tired.
This here CBR500RR, it ain’t just about speed and power, though. It’s about bein’ reliable too. You don’t want a bike that’s gonna break down on ya, leavin’ you stranded on the side of the road. This Honda, it’s built to last. It’s a solid machine, like them old tractors my grandpa used to have. You can count on it to get you where you need to go, every time.
Now, I ain’t gonna lie to ya, this bike ain’t perfect. Nothin’ is, I reckon. But it’s a darn good bike, especially if you’re just startin’ out. It’s got enough power to keep you entertained, but not so much that it’ll scare you half to death. And it’s easy to handle, so you don’t have to be a motorcycle expert to ride it. It’s comfortable enough for long rides, and reliable enough that you don’t have to worry about it breakin’ down on ya.

It ain’t the fanciest bike on the road, and it ain’t the fastest, but it’s a good, honest bike that’ll get you where you need to go and put a smile on your face while you’re doin’ it. And that, in my book, is what matters most. Just remember to wear your helmet and watch out for them crazy drivers, and you’ll be alright.
